My counseling services, including individual therapy and couples therapy, are based on the belief that individuals have the strength and resilience to overcome challenges and create positive change. I work alongside clients, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to support emotional health, self-understanding, and progress toward meaningful life goals.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps challenge and change unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors to improve emotional well-being. This form of therapy develops healthy coping strategies focused on solving current problems, making it beneficial not only for individual therapy but also for couples therapy. Originally created for depression, CBT now effectively treats many mental health conditions through evidence-based cognitive and behavioral techniques.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) emphasizes a person’s present and future goals instead of past experiences. This goal-oriented therapy assists clients in envisioning a positive future and builds skills, resources, and confidence to achieve those goals, rather than focusing on symptoms or past issues.
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) centers on awareness of the present moment—encouraging mindfulness of the body, thoughts, and environment. It combines cognitive behavioral methods with mindfulness meditation and related practices to help pause ongoing issues and focus on what’s happening right now, making it a valuable approach in both individual therapy and couples therapy.

Behavioral Couples Therapy (BCT)
Behavioral couples therapy is grounded in the idea that relationship behaviors can be changed and reinforced to boost satisfaction. Through guided techniques, we help couples recognize and shift negative interaction patterns, communicate more effectively, and cultivate emotional intimacy. Sessions focus on practical strategies that resemble elements of cognitive behavioral therapy to break unhealthy cycles and foster lasting, positive habits.
How BCT Supports Your Relationship
In a safe, non-judgmental space, both partners express their feelings and concerns. We identify key issues contributing to distress and tailor interventions to support healthier habits and improved satisfaction. Whether you face trust issues, frequent arguments, or communication struggles, this form of couples therapy equips you with tools to create meaningful change.
The Gottman Method: Science-Backed Couples Therapy
The Gottman Method focuses on strengthening friendship, managing conflict constructively, and fostering shared meaning. We work together to identify your relationship’s unique strengths and growth areas, teaching communication skills, emotional regulation, and intimacy-building practices to deepen your connection. Additionally, individual therapy sessions can complement your journey, addressing personal issues that impact your relationship.
